Description:

SPARC student ambassadors are intended to assist the SPARC (Sponsor Programs, Agreements, Research, and Contracts) Office in grant and research administration. Day to day responsibilities may include assisting with a range of activities of the grant life-cycle from proposal development and submission to managing incoming documentation of budgets and budget reports, recording/reporting data from documentation, and assisting with the SPARC personnel in project oversight. Other duties include writing press releases for projects, compliance instruction for researchers, scheduling, and some event planning.

One of the SPARC student positions will have specific duties in relation to a funded NSF grant which includes duties as designated by program specific requirements, for example; cataloging trainings, scoping review of literature, assisting creation of training modules, developing evaluation strategies, participant recruitment, and symposia planning.

Qualifications:

  • Experienced with MS Office software

  • Excellent verbal skills

  • Able to successfully manage multiple priorities

  • Excellent writing skills

  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently

  • Interest in advocating for and engaging in research at SUU
